Reliable articles
What motivates me?
One thing that I like to do is read. One thing I like to read about is new discoveries. Sometimes, my only way to satisfy my curiosity is by reading articles such as scientific articles. It is really impressive to see all the great things that are discovered all the time! Here are some articles specified in my field of study.
1. Talbot A, Laura. (2021, Sept. 1). Neonatal Aeromedical Evacuation During COVID-19: An Interview With Captain Danielle James. Oxford Academy. https://academic.oup.com/milmed/article/186/Supplement_2/74/6360752?searchresult=1#301344684
It is an interview with a NICU transport nurse in the U.S army who had to transfer at-risk patients (infant patients) during COVID-19 from Japan (U.S Naval Hospital Okinawa) to somewhere safer. It describes all the dangers and the procedure they had to follow during this hard time to keep the neonates safe. She talks about her personal experience, but also how they had to do it, how they had to take care of the mother as well, the evacuation's conditions, etc. It was a challenge for everyone.
The article is about a method to heal wounds faster where they use a component of human skin (Hyaluronic acid) combined with an antiseptic to reduce the risk of infection. The method was inspired by Romans who understood the benefits of a moist environment to heal wounds faster. This study is to present the use of a formulation of Hyaluronic acid and iodine applied on severe war wounds before the primary (delayed) suture.

Hi you have chosen very interesting articles! I also like the fact that you put an image that represent your article and I think you could put more because it catches the eye. You could also put your links available therefore when the readers click on it, it opens directly on the website.

ReplyDeleteElements to review:
- Add word (is by reading articles, scientific articles) - by reading articles, such as scientific articles
- Verb tense (being discovered): that are being discovered
- Word order: to keep safe the neonates.
- Verb tense (contained): It contained a lot of useful nutrients.
- Remove article 'the': to help the soldiers.
- Make sure your pronouns are clear. For instance, you use 'they' multiple times in these sentences. Therefore, it is sometimes unclear if you are talking about soldiers, doctors, or even the researchers: "It also talks about the many health problems they could encounter during wartime such as diseases, infections, etc. They explained that the organization of the armies has changed for the better [...]"
Oh, and I forgot to add, make sure that you follow a proper citing format for your sources.
